About the event
Mindfulness through art sessions for the month of March will celebrate Women's History month exploring a different female artist each week, past and present.
The workshops will be extended to 2 hrs every week for the month of March to allow time to fully explore, immerse and celebrate the theme of the month. Each week the sessions will consist of:
- a short breathing exercise
-some warm up drawing exercises
- an introduction to understand the artist, their history and creative journey. Looking at their body of work/particular artwork as a source of inspiration and how they and their art embodies female empowerment
- we will celebrate and explore a different artist, theme and a range of different media (ink, watercolour, acrylics on canvas, mixed media collage) each week
